Reunion & Group Event Planning

Breeze

Plan the perfect gathering.

Overview

Cross-platform reunion and gathering planner that replaces scattered group chats and spreadsheets — combining a shared schedule, real-time chat, polls and forms, a photo and video gallery, member directory, and travel hub (lodging, flights, local tips) in one place.

Breeze is a cross-platform app for family reunions, retreats, and multi-day gatherings. Built with Expo and Firebase, it gives every group a single home for the official itinerary, side plans, announcements, and memories. Organizers create a group with a join code, set dates and location, and run the event from an admin role. Attendees join on mobile or web, see what’s on the main schedule, add their own events when appropriate, RSVP, and stay in sync without digging through message threads. Real-time chat supports a whole-group channel, conversations tied to specific events, and direct messaging — including photo and video shares. Polls and structured questionnaires collect preferences and logistics (dietary restrictions, shirt sizes, votes on activities) with optional aggregate views for admins. A shared gallery collects images and clips, optionally linked to schedule items, so the trip turns into a living memory feed. The directory helps large families see who’s who, with relationship labels you can maintain over time. The travel hub surfaces lodging details, flight entries, nearby attractions, and (where enabled) emergency-care resources and live flight status for premium users. Push notifications and an in-app notification center route people straight to the right chat, form, event, or new upload — with per-category preferences so the experience stays helpful, not noisy.

Capabilities

Everything you need. Nothing you don't.

01

Admin & attendee roles

Organizers run the gathering with tools for logistics, official scheduling, and structured forms; attendees get a focused experience for viewing the plan, participating in chats and polls, and sharing media — without unnecessary complexity.

02

Shared schedule & personal plans

Group-wide events anchor the weekend while members can add their own entries when the flow allows. Calendar-oriented itinerary views, RSVPs, locations, and color-coded events make it obvious what’s official versus personal.

Real-time chat everywhere

A global channel keeps announcements visible; event-linked threads keep side conversations organized; direct chats support one-to-one coordination. Share images and short video right in the thread with read tracking and efficient history loading.

04

Polls and questionnaires

Run quick votes with live result percentages or collect richer answers with multi-question forms (text and multiple-choice). Admins can review responses in summary views, and the group gets notified when something new needs attention.

05

Gallery and memories

Upload photos and videos into a shared, scrollable gallery with thumbnails for fast browsing. Tie media to schedule items when it helps context, and let notifications surface new uploads so nobody misses highlights.

06

Directory and relationships

A visual roster connects faces to names with optional relationship labels across common family roles. Managing how people connect to each other scales to large reunions where ‘how are we related?’ is half the conversation.

Travel hub and logistics

Centralize lodging, housing details, and flight records alongside optional live status lookups for eligible accounts. Discover nearby attractions from the group’s location and surface emergency-care options when that module is enabled — so logistics live next to the schedule, not in a separate document.

08

Notifications you control

Push alerts deep-link into chats, forms, upcoming events, and new gallery items. In-app notifications and per-category preferences keep multi-generational groups informed without overwhelming them.

Why Breeze

Built to solve a real problem.

The Problem

Family gatherings fragment planning across text threads, email chains, shared spreadsheets, and photo dumps in camera rolls. Nobody has a single source of truth for the schedule, logistics get repeated in multiple places, and quieter relatives miss updates buried in chat. Organizers burn time re-answering the same questions; attendees struggle to see how side activities relate to the main plan; memories scatter across devices. The experience needs to work for a wide range of ages and devices without feeling like enterprise software.

The Solution

Breeze consolidates scheduling, communication, decisions, media, roster context, and travel details into one real-time app with clear organizer tools and a gentle attendee experience. Firestore-backed updates mean lists and chats stay current; push notifications route people to the right screen; optional premium flight status and location-based discovery add depth when groups need it. Expo keeps one codebase across mobile and web, while a small marketing site invites new groups in.

The client is React Native with Expo and Tamagui. Data and auth use Firebase; Cloud Functions handle server-side tasks like targeted notifications and integrations. The public marketing site uses Next.js.
